I obtained my Masters of Education in 2016 from Grand Canyon University and Masters of School Administration in 2020 from the University of Phoenix. I moved to Granville County in 2015, during my time in Granville County I taught 4th grade, 6th grade math, and 7th grade science.I also served as the Athletic Director for GC Hawley Middle School. In 2014 I started teaching 4th grade in Vance County. I was placed at a middle school to complete my internship and fell in love with education. I graduated from JF Webb High School of Health and Life Sciences in 2009 and I continued my educational journey at East Carolina University, where I majored in Public Health Studies with a concentration in Community Health. I was born and raised right here in Oxford, NC. I am a proud warrior alumni and I am elated to be back home in warrior nation. I completed my Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2016. I have been fortunate to have two opportunities to lead schools as the Principal, Rogers-Herr Middle School and Neal Middle School, both in Durham Public Schools.
